From the Preferences page the user can add or modify the email address associated with their account and change their username and password

If you wish to have system messages sent to you via email, select the Notification tab, enter an email address in the Email field and choose the Email option from the Message Method drop down and click on Save Notification Preferences.  If this option is selected messages will be sent to your email account and the Messages menu tab within Cyber High.

 

The Preferences page is located in the Main menu tab and can be accessed by clicking on Preferences.

Modify Message Preferences

Modify the way you receive messages:  

 

  1. Select the Notifications tab on the Preferences page.  
     

  2. Do one of the following:
     

  3. Click on the Save Notification Preferences button.
     

  4. A confirmation message will appear.

Change the Username

To change the Username:

 

  1. Select the Password tab on the Preferences page.
     

  2. Enter a Username in the Username field.   The Username must contain 6 to 16 characters.  
     

  3. Enter the current password in the Current Password field.
     

  4. Click on the Save Password Preferences button.
     

  5. A confirmation message will appear.

Change the Password

To change the Password:

 

  1. Select the Password tab on the Preferences page.
     

  2. Enter the current password in the Current Password field.
     

  3. Enter a new Password in the New Password field.   The Password must contain 6 to 16 16 characters and cannot contain spaces.  Re-enter the password to guard against possible errors.
     

  4. Use the Password strength indicator to maintain the security of the account.  For the strongest password use a combination of letters, numbers and special characters.  For instance, *u_998ema is a strong password
     

  5. Click on the Save Password Preferences button.
     

  6. A confirmation message will appear.

Change your default report dates

To change the default dates used when viewing reports:

 

  1. Select the Reports tab on the Preferences page.
     

  2. Enter the appropriate dates in the Start Date and End Date fields or use the calendar.
     

  3. The Reset To System Defaults option will change the date range to the current day.
     

  4. Click on the Save Report Preferences button.
     

  5. A confirmation message will appear.

Change the Password Recovery Question or Answer (student users only)

i_red_sm.jpgStudents will be directed to choose a security question and enter the appropriate response when logging in to Cyber High for the first time.  This information must be entered to gain access to the features within Cyber High.  This information can be used to retrieve a forgotten password.

 

To change the Password Recovery question or answer:

 

  1. Select the Password tab on the Preferences page.
     

  2. Select the desired question from the Security Question drop down.
     

  3. Enter the correct answer to the question in the Security Answer field.
     

  4. Click on the Save Password Preferences button.
     

  5. A confirmation message will appear.
